We’re proud to celebrate AktivAsia alumna Borim Kim , who has been awarded the prestigious Goldman Environmental Prize.
We first met Borim during our inaugural in-person Pado Power Fellowship in 2023. From the outset, she demonstrated a strong commitment to learning, engaging deeply with the tools and frameworks to strengthen her campaign strategy.
Over the course of the fellowship, Borim left fully equipped with the tools needed for the campaign she and her organization, youth 4 climate action , were running, and ready to apply them in her own distinctive way. In 2024, she returned as a peer facilitator, supporting the next cohort to build their own campaigns and leadership.
Borim’s recognition is a powerful reminder of the impact that young leaders across Asia are already having in advancing a just energy transition and challenging fossil fuel expansion.
