In August 2024, AktivAsia brought together 30 activists from 12 countries for our annual Taiwan Campaign Strategy and Organizing Fellowship. The week-long program combined intensive training sessions with opportunities for cross-border collaboration.

Highlights from the Week

Participants engaged in workshops on campaign strategy, digital security, media engagement, and coalition building. But some of the most powerful moments happened outside the formal sessions—late-night conversations, shared meals, and the realization that activists across Asia face similar challenges and share common dreams.

Participant Reflections

“I came to Taiwan feeling isolated in my work. I left with a network of allies who understand my struggles and celebrate my victories,” shared one participant from Indonesia.

Another fellow from Thailand noted, “The strategic frameworks I learned have completely transformed how I approach my campaigns. I’m seeing results I never thought possible.”
